We stock only haircare products that are free of parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, fragrances, sulfates, and Sodium laureth sulfate and Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS’s).
SLS’s are the common foaming agents in most commercially manufactured shampoos and soaps – these compounds are known to have the ability to penetrate the skin barrier, cause eye irritation and blindness, allergies, and a host of other health problems. Additionally, in manufacturing, SLS (Sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate) can be contaminated with measurable amounts of ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane, which are suspected carcinogens – in other words, they are thought to cause cancer.
Choosing products free of SLSs is an easy switch – they clean just as well, without toxic compounds.
